YESTERDAY
BUCINE BLUESTONE OVER TIME

Picture
There is a close link between the history of a particular culture and the resources and application of its land; in the case of Tuscany, the identity of its region has its recognition and foundation set over BUCINE BLUESTONE.

BUCINE BLUESTONE was one of the fundamental materials used by leading architects and artists in the development of Florentine artistic and architectural testaments from ancient populations, through Renaissance to the early twentieth century, thanks to the material itself and the great Stone masons that, generation by generation, passed along the mallet to create the testimony that stands today for our enjoyment and use.

Stone masons worked the Blue stone blocks according to the schooling of masters over the centuries into today’s more contemporary architecture that depends as much on the strength and serenity of the material as the previous generations. Modern equipment and different aesthetic requirements of today’s living scopes have modified some of the more ornate ways of bygone periods but even in its sleeker dress code, Bucine BlueStone stands above most natural materials strong of its deep soul and understated elegance.

Not only Tuscany, with its gorgeous Renaissance Villas and Palazzi perched along rolling hills above silvery olive trees and ruby red vineyards and Florence in particular with neighboring noble hamlets surrounding the Region's capital, are a testimony to the use of this material for the finishing architectural elements such as grand floor expanses, staircases, columns, entrances, enriched by the natural patina achieved with the passing of time.

FUTURE
BUCINE BLUESTONE “FOREVER”

Picture
BUCINE BLUESTONE  used over the centuries by the great Florentine design visionaries, has always been a great favorite with architects and craftsmen for its high versatility, still walked over  today by millions of tourists like in the Uffizzi Gallery on to landscapes  and private residences and infinitum…
…always the perfect background or highlight of most period architecture, public or private, that over generations, is today being reinvented in more contemporary and silent minimalistic architecture thanks to its smooth and subdued appearance, a true noble Lady forever workable into winning executions.

A truly universal material: versatility, excellent workability and mechanical qualifications to withstand the rigors of time and exposure to centuries past and to come in the future, ensures its application in limitless environments: from claddings and paving of contemporary urban developments as well as refined residential applications, restoration works, the perfect solution for landscaping details such as fountains, paving and architectural details of many forms and scope.

BUCINE BLUESTONE is now one of the most sought after natural materials coming again of age to fulfill the scope of limitless design missions worldwide.
