ALABAMA MARBLE CO.
Quarried, Processed and Finished in the U.S.A.
Beneath the city of Sylacauga lies the finest White Marble in the world.
The deposit is part of the "Murphy Marble Belt" extending 32 miles wide by 400 feet deep and it's the world's largest commercial deposit of madre cream marble.
At the beginning of 1900 the Italian sculptor Giuseppe Moreti sought to encourage the use of this marble for artistic and building purposes. He used himself a block from the Gantt's Quarry to crave his masterpiece "The Head of Christ" in his Birmingham studio.
Sometimes, in our worldwide meanderings in search of interesting stone products, we overlook natural resources close to "home" as this wonderful White Marble quarried, processed and finished right here in the good United States of America.
"Grain of this marble can be defined very good to obtain finished products under 3/4"...
...This product can be considered a stone of the highest category."

BACCI MARMI
I Marmi di Toscana.
Silvano Bacci founded BACCI MARMI in Pietra Santa in 1960, right in the heart of Tuscany; since then tho company has developed a range of specialist techniques for the production of marble, building on the fine art studied at the drawing table and the finely-honed skills of a time-served workforce. to understand how to enhance the colors and the surfaces and cleverly use the natural ability of stone to embody the heritage of the land and remain an essential, and ever faithful link to it. This development has allowed the company to incorporate aspects of local art heritage into its work.
Nowadays, the Bacci Family puts its experience at the service of the company, combining the time-honored skills of master stonemasons and marble cutters with contemporary design and taste, to produce a wide range of materials and unique ways of working the stone.
The company selects its own stone and marble from quarries, which is then transformed in a number of different stages.
The marble is hewn into huge cubes then cut into block so that it can then be progressively reduced to slabs up to 3/8" thick; various different modular sizes can be produced as wll as special pieces which combine with them.
The composition process, founded on a long tradition of craft techniques and an appreciation of fine art and decoration, ensures unique and exclusive shapes and colors in the inlay works and mosaics. The finishing process and combination of surfaces is based on the color, texture and grain, enhancing the natural consistency and stucture of the marble and stone.
MYGSA & TRAMA
Onyx and Travertine From Peru
For a better perspective of what, over time, we have done our best to re-create from decades of experience in Italy, we have compiled this product reference that renders a pretty good idea of what is available thru the people and resources that are working with us in Peru, namely MYGSA & TRAMA.
Not everything that is available is depicted, a lot remains domain of those who have submitted their own ideas and designs under their own custom programs. More is possible and done on the specific request of those who, like several to date, have replaced or implemented their own existing programs through us or designed programs ex-novo to reflect the current market trends.
In this product presentation we list some basic tile sizes and mosaic patterns but, in addition, rectangular modules, large and small, planking and the like are part of the growing demand. Same applies to small tile requirements, exotic mosaic patterns, moldings, and deco borders with inserts and vein-cut patterns.
MYGSA: Partners with TRAMA, is the vendor that, owner and in control of several quarries provides the market with most tile, slabs and pavers requirements, in travertine (F & H - F & P - chiseled/acid washed edges, brushed/natural edges) and onyx.
TRAMA: sister company to MYGSA and part and parcel of the same locale, this is where all of the onyx and travertine production of small tile, mosaics, moldings, split face, ledger stone, borders and the like is produced color coordinated and compatible with the larger tiles, slabs and pavers programs processed as MYGSA.
Strong of its "frost proof" qualifications most Peruvian travertine have successfully been used for outdoor paving situation through the “northern lands” already in very handsome 6x9" interlocking sizing, large opus patterns up to 24" modules as well as attractive 12x24 formats and more.
